Dr Laurie Sullivan MB BS, FRANZCO is a highly skilled and experienced refractive surgeon who has worked with 20/20 Laser Vision (and now Laser Sight Victoria) since 1997. His easy going manner and commitment to providing professional and conservative advice has made him very popular with our patients.

Dr Sullivan is one of the few fellowship-trained Corneal Specialists in Melbourne and regularly performs corneal transplants, cataract surgery and a range of other surgical and medical treatments of anterior eye disease. His public teaching hospital appointment is to the Corneal Clinic at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where he is involved in clinical training of Ophthalmologists learning refractive surgery and other operations.

Dr Sullivan has been a clinical associate at the University Of Melbourne Department Of Ophthalmology since 1994. He also lectures and examines Optometrists at the Victorian College of Optometry in the Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics. Member of Royal and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) and Australian Medical Association (AMA).

Dr Sullivan has also been involved in various overseas aid programs. In 1994 he travelled to Nepal as part of a surgical team for the Nepal Eye Program Australia in association with the Fred Hollows Foundation. He returned to Janakpur, Nepal in1998 to perform surgery and train local surgeons. In 2000 he was also a member of an overseas aid team working in Fiji.

Dr Sullivan maintains an active interest in research, having participated in numerous research projects and has authored various publications and journal articles. He is also a member of the Melbourne Excimer Laser Group (MELG).
